Introduction to the community
The Community was founded in 1980 in Maputo (Lebombo Province). The present house in Maciene was originally the branch house of the community and is where the sisters live today. They have been supported by CHN sisters from Zululand. The four sisters in life vows are all Portuguese-speaking.
Their present work includes a local ministry centred on the Cathedral, with hospitality offered through Bishop’s House, support for the Sunday School and pastoral visiting
