Community of the Sisters of the Visitation of Our Lady (CVL)

Introduction to the community

In 1964, Sister Margaret CHN walked to the site of the convent with Cora Aiga, Edith Genolla and Roseline. They set up a tent to sleep in and from that day they started the community and settled down. When the years passed, the community grew and it is now known as Hetune Convent. Not all the sisters were able to continue and some went back to their homes, but the late Sister Cora stayed until she became ill and died.

It has been a struggle through the years and numbers have gone up and come down. In 2016 the chapel had to be pulled down and now we worship in the classroom.

We would like to open a new house and we know God will find a way for us to do that.
